“En Plein Aire” Outdoor Painting with Afsaneh Michaels

at the Rossmoor Garden Club gardens

May 19- June 9, 2025

Mondays 9:30-12:00

The plain air class taught by Afsaneh Michaels will take place at the gardens of the Rossmoor Garden Club nearby. Artists will paint or draw directly onto canvas or paper using a medium of their choice (students must be comfortable and familiar with their own medium), and learn how to frame a painting or a drawing from an outdoor scene.

The garden club has welcomed Rossmoor artists to create art from the beautiful and varied gardens full of flowers and fruit and will provide chairs for artists while sitting on the deck and will occasionally even provide a bouquet or two if the group wants to sit around a table under the 250 year old Oak tree within the gardens. The gardens are truly beautiful and provide a wonderful setting for inspiration and subject matter.

We will meet at the Gateway parking lot and carpool to the gardens.
