This seven-week course is designed for those who want to learn how to paint
clouds, water, trees, rocks separately or within the context of a painting. You

a given image or paint an already composed image of your choice. You might
work from sketches, photographs or still life to bring your ideas together.
You will learn about form, line weight, shading, composition and the overall
handling of the picture space and make lively, interesting and beautiful
paintings. A variety of color mediums (including acrylics, oils, or water
soluble oil colors, colored pencils, oil pastels etc.) can be used on paper as
well as on canvas or board.
Come with your existing setup with colors, brushes, pencils, pastels and
other tools plus your sketchbook or canvas. The first class will include a
discussion of materials and supports (canvas, paper or boards). For questions,
