April 24 – May 22  (4 classes)(Skips May 8)

4 weeks   ALL Levels

$100 for Members $120 for non members

Bring your own scissors. A ruler would be nice, also.

There’s no material fee, but please bring your own gelli plate and brayer if you are interested in “Gelli Printing”.

I do have a little extra equipment if you want to “try before you buy” a Gelli plate and brayer.

I will supply papers, collage materials, paint, stencils, mediums. But it’s great if you bring things you have found, or pictures of people or things you want in your design. I can print from your photo.

If you have images, or materials you want to use, bring them. Or come with nothing in mind and just explore.

Make AMAZING Art!

Let’s play!

Let’s start without caring where we end up.

Or start with a plan and stick to it.

It’s low pressure learning.

It’s about mediums and color, cutting, tearing and pasting,

using brushes, finding a stencil to start or end a thought,

and exploring gelli plates.

Composition is the hidden prize!

Marcy Wheeler, Instructor

I did my first oil painting when I was thirteen…Received a BFA in Painting at the University of Illinois…became a baker…switched from oils to acrylics when my kids were toddling…started teaching 25 years ago...like resting in a comfy chair…like wearing a straw hat…like being by a creek…love painting. I also love working with painters who want to learn more, expanding their tool bag and art vision. All the while, having a bit of fun and getting to know each other.
